When will be the next excursion? (edited on 21/06/2012)

Peng 姐 and I was scheduled to do a site visit at one of my employer's operations. After the stringent security check at the Changi Airport, we embarked on the tour without our trainer around. It was a little confusing at first as I was not very familiar with the grounds at terminal 2. Thankfully we have a staff whom used to work in the same department as us showed us around and they served some fab beverages.
The experience at terminal 3 was a brief one. Probably due to the crowd, we had our juices and after a quick introduction, we left the place to fill our tummy.
The hard rock cafe set lunches were offered at a discounted rate and we got it even cheaper because we had the Changi group staff pass. Although we did not get to shop around much, it was indeed a relaxing day at work and I am keeping my fingers crossed for more to come.

p.s I seized the chance and brought Peng 姐 to the Butterfly Garden in the terminal. Unfortunately, she was a little afraid of them probably too much association of butterflies with horror movies. Haha

Bodycon dress for me again?

I bought one of the grey bodycon dress from one of the famous blogshop for my company Dinner and Dance last year. When I was ready to leave the house, my aunt commented that I look like a hippopotamus. After the huge horror, I dashed back into the room and change into an old brown toga dress. I forgot to change the shade of my eyeshadows as Apple was already waiting for me at my void deck, thankfully the colour was acceptable at that night (even if it didn't, it was already over!).
I have quite a big butt, large in surface but it is not perky enough. I would say it is rather flat.
It was not my first bodycon dress anyway. I bought something similar from Forever 21 for 2010 D&D but it was a black bottom, hence I guess it still look rather alright for me.
The grey dress seems to have emphasize too much on my bottom, so after that incident I try to avoid any tight fitting dresses.

I was surfing the net and stumbled across the tips to wear.

General Body-Con Tips:

  • Don’t be afraid! The thought of tight, figure-hugging clothing probably inspires fear in the majority of women, but it shouldn’t! Most body-con pieces are actually pretty flattering, due to the fact that they suck you in, smoothing out your shape. Still self-conscious? Try wearing Spanx (Jessica Alba swears by ‘em) or even high-waisted sheer footless tights under anything you feel is too tight or short.
  • Spend money on Spanx? It would not be worth it as I am not required to dress formal even for my work.
  • Play with proportions. As I’ve stressed in previous articles, if you’re wearing a tight item of clothing, it’s a good rule to balance it out with an item that’s not as form fitting. Wearing a tight skirt? Try a colorful, loose-fitting tank tank top for balance.
  • Alright, note to myself.
  • Choose what to showcase. Sure, a tight bandage dress is a great option for a night at the club, but it’s not for every day! For normal wear, it’s best to decide what assets to flaunt and cover the rest! Example: if you’re wearing tight, high-waisted jeans, put on a short sleeved turtleneck! That way, you flaunt your legs and butt, but keep the cleavage under wraps for a classy look.
  • no cleavage, no sexy legs. in addition, wearing tight skirt always needs me to adjust it every now and then. Next please.
  • Go dark. Because these styles are so form fitting, it’s best to opt for a dark color if you’re feeling at all shy about showing your shape. Black, dark gray, brown, navy, and even deep purples and reds are all great color choices for body-con pieces.
  • Yes, that was why the black dress suited me.
  • Pick your pairings wisely. What you wear with your body-con is almost as important as the body-con item itself! For city chic looks, pair body-con dresses with bombers, boyfriend blazers, or jean jackets. If you’re doing the body-con thing in the AM (or any in-class hours!) choose conservative shoes–think ballet flats or boots. Even your accessories can provide some needed coverage, so go ahead and pull out your scarf from last fall! It’s all about striking a balance between showing off your hot bod and keeping it classy.
  • too much information to absorb.
No more bodycon dress this season anyway, meanwhile I am going to stick the simple A-line or flare design, unless my butt and legs grow thinner?

Miu Miu Mandras goat wallet

I have been wanting to change my wallet. I had used it for three years and due to the fact I am lazy to send it for cleaning, it became dirty. Moreover, as my fetish to apply for credit cards grows, I do not have enough slots to carry them and the wallet grew fatter each day with the rest of the useless items and membership cards.
Hence Ali was nice enough to sponsor me as my birthday gift this year. Another bag would be lovely to my collection but I shall not push my luck further. I did not buy any valuable articles insurance (after learning that such policy exists, thanks to my co. whom sent me for PGI examination).
So the thought of perils happening acts as a good deterrence for me to save money and not to acquire more bags.

It is selling at 640SGD at Miu Miu paragon. There are some design that are currently at 30% discount. I insisted on a black one, and black design often is not included in the sales. After much persuasion by a zealous staff on how sturdy Mandras wallet is and the approval from Ali, card was swiped and I left on a happy note.
I am sure it will serve me well for long.
